Comic Maker

We have been using pixton.com a comic generator to help our class better paraphrase what they write and read.

The students have been working on an expository piece on a Famous African American of their choice.  They are then paraphrasing their writing to present a more reasonable amount of information to share with the class.

The site is great when it works well, it does require some practice to get comfortable with.  This does allow the students to utilize their creativity and enhance their ability to share what they have learned.  I would definitely recommend that the students and teacher practice with the site to work out any potential kinks.  This is a site that can be used for any class to help present a topic and for kids to teach each other new concepts.

The following is an example of what I shared with the class to give them their assignment.  The students are still completing their projects.
